Some 300 McKinney ISD administrators, family members and community leaders gathered for the 2013 Teacher of the Year Award Dinner at Eldorado Country Club on Thursday night to honor the dedication and commitment of a select group of the District’s finest teachers.

Each teacher honored at the event was chosen earlier this spring by his or her colleagues to serve as the Campus Teacher of the Year and then participated in a portfolio and interview process for consideration to be selected as the McKinney ISD Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year.

The recipients of the Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year Awards were announced at the end of an evening filled with awards, laughter, poignant remarks and teacher video vignettes that were both humorous and inspiring.
