McKinney Education Foundation (MEF) welcomed their new Executive Director, Edie Heinicke to the organization.
The McKinney Education Foundation is a non-profit education foundation created to centralize, simplify and enhance the process of raising money for and awarding scholarships to deserving graduates of the three McKinney high schools, as well as Serenity High. MEF also has advisors who specialize in higher education admissions at all of the McKinney high schools to help students apply for and find additional funding for college. In addition, MEF offers Classroom and Professional Development grants for MISD staff members and helps keep alumni connected through the McKinney Ex-Students Association (MESA).
MEF is doing great things for the students of McKinney ISD and they are pleased to add Heinicke to the organization.
Heinicke brings a wealth of education and work experience with her. She holds two degrees from Missouri Valley College, a BA in Human Service Management and a BA in Recreation Administration. In addition, she has 11 years of experience working with the Boy Scouts of America in both Topeka, Kansas and Tyler, Texas.
Heinicke and her family moved to McKinney from East Texas in April of last year. She is a member of the Collin County Junior League and is excited to have been accepted for the position as Executive Director for MEF.
