Collin College Continuing Education will host an information session for those interested in learning about career opportunities and training in Fiber Optics. The information session will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Courtyard Center, 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano. The information session is free and open to the public, but space is limited.
This information session will include details on three Fiber Optics certification courses.
Continuing Education and Fiber Optics representatives will be on hand to answer questions and present course details. No prior experience is needed to be trained in this field.

In the Certified Fiber Optics Technician (CFOT) course students will prepare to take the Fiber Optics Association CFOT exam by learning through lecture and 85% hands-on exercises. This three-day course meets from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 10-12, at the Courtyard Center in Plano.
