McKINNEY, TX -- Good times will be had in Historic Downtown McKinney this Saturday, while following social distancing guidelines. The Summer sip and stroll series consists of three strolls that will take participants on a tasting journey around Downtown McKinney. The series continues this Saturday, August 8th with the McKinney Wine Walk happening from 1pm-7pm. Along the stroll participants will visit unique shops while sipping on a variety of delicious wines.

 “We love our community and we want McKinney small businesses to stay viable during the pandemic.” said Lauren Stephan, McKinney resident and owner of SBG Hospitality. “The Wine Walk is a fantastic way have some fun while supporting local small businesses, and we’ll do this while carefully following social distancing guidelines.”

 The McKinney Wine Walk will feature 40 unique wines. Participants will have the opportunity for a wine tasting at 20 different stops on the map. The wines include summer refreshers like sparkling wine, rose, and sauvignon blanc and plenty of reds for the red wine lovers.

The Wine Walk costs only $30 and includes a signature taster and a map that sends participants on the self guided wine tasting journey.  Participants are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance. They are very limited for social distancing: https://mckinneywinewalk.eventbrite.com

The McKinney Wine Walk is in partnership with the McKinney Little Free Pantry. The worthy nonprofit partner will have volunteers at each of the unique registration areas ready to greet guests as they arrive. Volunteers are still needed and receive some great perks. Logistics have been carefully planned to follow social distancing guidelines. Details such as requiring participants to choose an arrival time, starting participants at different locations and merchants following the 50% occupancy guidelines are just a few of the logistics to make sure the community is keeping safe while they are having fun.
