Wine Walk to feature 50 wines, live music, and more

PLANO, TX -- The third-annual Plano Food and Wine Festival, presented by Willard Dental and hosted at The Shops at Willow Bend, today announced its plans to pivot to a WALK in 2020. The social distanced wine walk will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 2-7 p.m.

The walk features more than 50 wines from across the region, live music throughout the day, culinary demonstrations, and plenty of shopping with local boutiques, small businesses, and artisans.

“The Plano Food and Wine Festival has become a beloved event in Plano,” said event organizer Lauren Stephan. “Hosting the festival isn’t possible this year, but we’re excited to join together with our sponsors to offer a social distanced option for the community to have fun.”

In addition to the full lineup of live music sponsored by O’Neil Wysocki Family Law, entertainment will include a complimentary open-air photo booth and culinary and mixology demonstrations from regional chefs, where guests can learn tips to perfecting the perfect cocktail and the secrets behind a crowd-pleasing charcuterie board.

General admission to the wine walk happening inside The Shops at Willow Bend is free and open to all ages. Charcuterie food boxes will be available to those who pre-purchase. The $30 fee provides participants with the map to 20 wine tasting locations and a signature wine taster.

Participants choose an arrival time at registration which helps assure social distancing. Custom starting locations are assigned, and participants will wear their mask when they are not enjoying their wine. There is never any gathering in a crowd, tickets are very limited and personal hand sanitizer will be provided.

Community partners making the social distanced walk possible are Willard Dental, O’Neil Wysocki Family Law, Gold Star Appliances & Lighting, Monogram,  Cowboys Fit and Elite Care Plano.

Those interested in attending are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as tickets are very limited for social distancing. Learn more and purchase tickets here.  Complimentary valet and free self-parking will be available.
