E.J. Wills Gastropub has quickly established itself as a fixture in McKinney. Today, there’s no question, it’s a popular place to gather - an accomplishment they’ve made after only two short years of business in McKinney at the corner of Stonebridge and 380.

“Our family lives blocks away from the current location in Stonebridge Ranch, and we wanted to create a space where neighbors could gather,” says Joy Booth, E.J. Wills Gastropub’s owner. “Our motto is ‘where friends and flavor come together’ and we try to live that out with everything we do.”

The gastropub opened its doors on March 15, 2018, and will be celebrating its two year anniversary with a week-long celebration. Starting on Wednesday, March 11 through Wednesday, March 18, they will have a different event each night.

“We are a family-operated, family-accommodating restaurant that is also perfect for date night, office happy hours, game watching, large parties, and school spirit nights,” explains Booth.

“We named the restaurant after our two daughters, whose first names begin with the letters E and J. The ‘Wills’ part comes from their feisty temperaments, or as we like to say, their ‘strong willed dispositions!’”

Festivities for the week-long celebration include multiple nights of live music, guest bartenders serving up cocktails for charity, and give-a-ways from local breweries and distilleries. In particular, you should plan to stop by on March 14 for complimentary cake and a DJ, and on March 17 for green beer and Irish specialties for St. Patrick’s Day!
