Chow down on a traditional Cajun feast where crawfish rule and a Cajun Country Adventure package is the prize during the Trinity Falls Crawfish Boil on the Rue 3-7 p.m. Saturday, March 24.

Buckets of spicy crawfish plus time-honored sides — with wine and beer for purchase to wash it all down — await guests at the McKinney-area community’s new model home park.

“We wanted to do something unique and fun to introduce our builders’ beautiful models to the public,” said Jim Baker, general manager of Trinity Falls. “Visitors are going to have a fabulous time ‘on the Rue’ as well as an opportunity to score sweet treats in each of the new models.”

Additional spirits and desserts will be offered to visitors touring the professionally decorated models built by Gehan Homes, Meritage Homes, Highland Homes, Ashton Woods and Perry Homes.

Those that visit at least four models can register for a chance to win a “Cajun Country Adventure,” package that includes Louisiana swamp tours, a private seafood boil and more.

The musical stylings of local musician Philip Brumley, a 75-foot zip line, Zorb balls, gator show and other children’s activities will add to the festivities.

Admission to the crawfish boil is $1 per person, which will be donated to the North Texas Food Bank. Every dollar donated to the food bank provides three meals to local North Texas families. Eventgoers can catch shuttle buses to the venue at The Club, 7801 Trinity Falls Parkway.

Trinity Falls is located near the intersection of Central Expressway and U.S. Highway 380. Homes in the community range from the upper $200,000s to more than $600,000.
