Tea for two? Tea for all! McKinney Coffee Company, located at the corner of Stonebridge and 380, is introducing a unique concept to our city—the notion of high tea in an inviting coffee shop setting. Even the most refined of tea party guests will enjoy the cozy and quaint ambiance with their neighbors and friends.
As Joy Booth shop owner explains, “We acquired an absolutely gorgeous, bone-China tea set and we know people are longing to dress up, get out, and celebrate again with one another. We don’t want guests to have to wait for a special event to experience a special afternoon.”
The first CommuniTea event will kick off with a holiday tea party on December 12 from 2:30 to 4 pm. Featuring two types of hand-picked, loose-leaf tea (including decaf); three courses of gourmet petite sandwiches and other delectable treats; and a glass of champagne for adults, the event is open to all guests aged 13 and older. “We are hoping individuals will bring their friends and come ready to meet, mingle, and make new friends, as we’re planning to seat guests communally so all can share in the holiday cheer,” says Booth.
The event marks what is hoped to be a monthly CommuniTea offering, with special themes throughout the new year, including a Daddy and Me tea, which will be scheduled for early spring.
The shop can also be booked for private high-tea events, which makes a perfect theme for bridal luncheons, showers, and other special occasions. “We routinely reserve our shop for private parties. With the option of high-tea, we are now able to provide a truly unique and memorable option for hosts and guests alike.”
Seating is limited and reservations can be made in the shop or by phone: 214-592-0146. More detailed inquires can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org and photos are available on the shop’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/mckinneycoffeeco
