Oktoberfest, Arts in Bloom, ESL Tutoring and more offer opportunities for volunteers to be involved

The City of McKinney has launched the McKinney Volunteer Program (MVP) for those seeking opportunities to serve the community. Utilizing the platform VolunteerNow (Voly), residents interested in volunteering for city-wide events such as Oktoberfest or library programs like ESL tutoring can create an account at mckinney.voly.org to view opportunities, set up notifications for new listings and track volunteer hours.

“The City of McKinney has numerous opportunities for citizens to give back to the community. By utilizing the Voly platform to manage our volunteer program, we can streamline communication regarding new opportunities, track volunteers and time, and conduct thorough background checks,” said Director of Human Resources Ike Obi.

City departments such as the McKinney Public Library System, McKinney Main Street, McKinney Parks and Recreation and Public Works have various opportunities throughout the year for residents to be involved and support the community. For more information about MVP, visit mckinney.voly.org.
