The magic of the holidays begins on November 24 as Volunteer McKinney’s Santa on the Square returns to McKinney’s Historic Downtown, in conjunction with Main Street McKinney’s Home for the Holidays.

Children and families are invited to book their appointment to spend one-on-one time with Santa in his custom-made tiny house filled with antique toys. A private photo shoot adds to the excitement of this holiday tradition.

Dana Riley, Volunteer McKinney’s Executive Director, is excited about Santa’s arrival. “We are delighted to be bringing Santa Claus back to McKinney,” Riley said. “We received so much positive feedback from those who participated last year that we have added additional days to this magical event.”

The Santa on the Square experience is open for those ages 1 day to one hundred plus years old, those with special needs, and even well-behaved animals. Bookings are available online and include two copies of a 5 x 7 in. photo in a keepsake folder and a visit with Santa.

Volunteer McKinney’s Santa on the Square is sponsored by McKinney Community Development Corporation, with in-kind donations from TomK Photography. All proceeds benefit Volunteer McKinney.

Appointments are available beginning November 24 and run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through December 17. Book an appointment online at, starting October 10.
