A Call for Nominations

The League of Women Voters of Collin County seeks nominations for an award to honor individual women who have made a notable impact on one or more other women in crises through their participation in service organizations in Collin County. These remarkable women, whether staff or volunteers, are seldom singled out for special acknowledgment, but they embody a sense of caring and responsibility for others and inspire other persons to help effect change in our community.

Selected honorees will be recognized at a luncheon on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano. The luncheon is an annual LWV Collin County event during Women’s History Month to honor a selected group of women in the county. The honorees will be asked to speak at the luncheon about how their organizations help women in crises and about their own experiences.

The LWV is eager to honor a broad representation of women from throughout Collin County. Organizations are asked to participate in order to be publicly recognized for the important work they do in the community and to network with similar organizations in Collin County.

Application forms are available at www.lwvcollin.org. Or contact the Luncheon Chair, Holly Nichols, luncheon@lwvcollin.org. Information about past luncheons is available at www.lwvcollin.org/luncheon_history.html.

Please submit completed nomination forms by November 15.
