McKINNEY (Sept. 22, 2015) — The Spirit of McKinney Volunteer Awards will be held on Thursday, Sept. 24 at 6:30 p.m. at the new Sheraton McKinney Hotel. It is going to be a grand celebration of the community's tireless volunteers.

This annual event recognizes nominees and award winners in eight categories. They will share how many volunteers are giving of themselves to those in need and also to the agencies who bring so much good to the city.

“We are excited to celebrate Volunteerism in McKinney and have over 50 volunteers nominated for the eight awards,” said Dana Riley, Executive Director of Volunteer McKinney. “That is a perfect example of how many people are giving back to this community through volunteer service.”

The night will consist of a wonderful dinner, volunteer awards presentations and a silent auction benefiting Volunteer McKinney.
