Smiles Charity, Shadywood Custom Homes and Operation Finally Home will break ground on the new home of Sgt. Andrew Litz in honor of his dedication and service to his country.

Sgt. Litz sustained a traumatic head injury in Iraq in 2005 but fought a valiant battle to return as an officer in the Dallas Police Department. The debilitating effects of the head trauma continued to mount until he was no longer able to serve with the DPD.

In 2012, Smiles Charity raised $115,000 to go directly towards the building of a mortgage-free home for Sgt. Litz.  In partnership with Operation Finally Home and Shadywood Custom Homes, Smiles Charity proudly announces a groundbreaking ceremony Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. at 1909 Running Deer Lane in Gunter.

About Smiles Charity
