McKINNEY (Aug. 13, 2015) — Have you ever wanted to know more about the animated dinosaurs who were showcased at the Heard Nature museum? McKinney Sunrise Rotary is hosting a lesson in prehistoric animatronics at their breakfast meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 19.

Tim Brightman of Billings Productions will present a short program about the Allen Company at the Eldorado Country Club, located at 2604 Country Club Dr. The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast. The cost of the breakfast is $10 The Sunrise Rotary club is a local service club that leases flags for 5 holidays using the funds for McKinney charities, education and worldwide needs such as “End Polio Now.”

Local programs are featured as often as possible and Billings Productions is a prime example. It was founded by Larry and Sandra Billings in September 2003 at a warehouse in Larry's hometown of McKinney. In their first year, they built some 60-animatronic dinosaurs! Today Sandra and their son, Trey, are adding animatronic bugs to their line.

President-elect Juli Smith stated “this should be entertaining and educational for both learning about dinosaurs, bugs … and the Rotary! Everyone is welcome.”
