McKinney Police officers will be available to meet and mingle with the community

Join the McKinney Police and Fire Departments for this year’s National Night Out celebration Tuesday, Aug. 1.

National Night Out is a way to increase neighborhood spirit, improve police and community partnerships and keep cities safer. Cities across the nation celebrate National Night Out each year.

“This event is a favorite for our community and provides a relaxed atmosphere for residents to mingle with police officers and fire staff,” said Chief Greg Conley.

Residents should talk to their crime watch captain to find out about events in their neighborhood.

If your neighborhood does not have a crime watch captain, call Officer Randy Haak at 972-547-2795 for more information about the program. Sign your block party up on the city’s website,
