McKINNEY — Keller Williams associates will be taking the day off on Thursday, May 8, but it will hardly be a day of rest. Associates with the Keller Williams McKinney Market Center have chosen to “Give Where They Live” as part of RED Day, the company's annual day of service, spending their morning at The Samaritan Inn and Shiloh Place, both in McKinney.

"RED Day is built on the belief that people can and should come together to achieve extraordinary things to help others," said Team Leader Ted Jacobsen.

“We researched our local community to make sure that we addressed the greatest need with the greatest impact,” stated Red Day Committee Co-Chairperson Shannon Patterson. ”We’re excited to work toward the common good on May 8th.”

Since the first RED Day in 2009, Keller Williams associates have given almost a half million hours of community service through activities ranging from food and blood drives to cleaning up trash in public parks, revamping gardens at nursing homes, and rebuilding homes and schools for community members in need. To this day, it is one of the largest events in the real estate industry.
