Daughters of the American Revolution invite the public to attend

The John Abston chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution is participating in Veteran's Day services in McKinney, and invites the public to attend. The purpose of Veteran's Day honor America's veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the greater good of America. Events are free to attend. 

1) November 10 at 11 am to 12 am, at Veteran's Memorial Park in McKinney (6053 Weiskopf Ave, McKinney) there will be a Service led by the McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board.

2) Veteran's Day Sundown Service, Sunday, November 11 at 5:26 PM, also at Veteran's Memorial Park in McKinney, and also led by the McKinney Armed Services Memorial Board.

3) Finally, there is a Commemoration of SSGT Bobby Joe Younger, a recently identified WWII fighter pilot and war hero, at the 1870 Johnson House, Saturday, November 10 from 11:30 to 1:30 in Chestnut Square.  Family members will be on hand to share stories and information.  The John Abston Chapter of NSDAR will have an information table on the home's back porch for women 18 and older who are interested in learning about membership in the society, and its goals of promoting education, historic preservation, and patriotism.
