Did you know that by 2020 millennials will be the largest demographic in our workforce?  And that a work-life balance is very important to them?  Part of that balance is philanthropy – actively supporting causes and volunteering.

Now, open your calendar and look at Tuesday, May 14.  Make sure the following is listed on that day and set a reminder:

Cheers to Charity, benefitting EMBRACE Texas
5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at TUPPS Brewery
presented by the McKinney Young Professionals (MYP)

It is that time of year when our millennials are working hard to raise funds for their charity of choice.  After a new selection process, MYP chose EMBRACE Texas to support for the next three years. This support will be both financially and through hands-on volunteering.

For over a decade, EMBRACE has provided life-changing programs and resources to children in foster care in our area, foster families and to those aging out of the foster care system.  They work to provide a loving, stable home for every child.

MYP invites you all to come out to TUPPS Brewery on May 14 for a night of community fun and community support for EMBRACE. Your entry ticket includes a drink ticket, raffle ticket, great music by Rachel Teague and yummy bites from Cadillac Pizza and The Yard-McKinney.  Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for a greater chance of winning!

Buy your tickets now and make sure to invite your family, friends, neighbors and work colleagues!  Cheers to Charity is open to the public and will help MYP reach their goal of raising $11,000 for EMBRACE by the end of July.

Your company can be involved, too, through a variety of sponsorships giving you great exposure for a great cause!  For more information click here or email Deb Fitzgerald at the Chamber:

Remember that calendar entry?   See you there!
