Public Welcome to Attend

The month of September marks the 230th anniversary of the drafting of the Constitution of the United States of America by the Constitutional Convention.

The John Abston Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will observe Constitution week with a reading of the Preamble to the Constitution, and a reading of the Mayor of McKinney George Fuller's Proclamation.

This annual celebration will encourage the study of events that led to the framing of the Constitution in 1787, inform people that the Constitution is the basis of America's great heritage, and emphasize US citizens responsibility to protect, defend, and preserve the Constitution.

This event will take place on the steps of the Collin County Historical Museum located at 300 E Virginia Street, downtown McKinney, on Thursday, September 21 at 3 PM

The public is invited to attend.
