Cold air, holidays and the spirit of our generous community are upon us. The McKinney Chamber’s success is due solely to our membership. Not only do our members support the goals of our organization, but they give generously to groups and individuals who need assistance. The Chamber’s committees, programs and publications provide a platform for others to get involved throughout the year, but that’s just the beginning. Visit throughout the holidays to read about what others are doing, to stay connected and get involved.

McKinney Young Professionals – Christmas in July Toy Drive

The McKinney Young Professionals (MYP) holds an annual “Christmas in July" Toy Drive benefiting CASA of Collin County in mid-summer each year. Donation boxes are distributed to local Chamber businesses for collection then presented to CASA.

CASA of Collin County promotes and protects the best interests of children who have been abused or neglected. Susan Etheridge, director of CASA, states, “CASA relies on strong community support especially during the holidays, but their children need help all year long. The McKinney Young Professionals have not forgotten the importance of giving back. Not only do they personally collect gift cards and toys, but they also encourage other businesses in the community to follow their example.”
