Collin College Continuing Education has a new Executive Leadership Development course designed for individuals working in management or supervisory positions who want to gain successful leadership qualities.

This course is also open to business professionals who desire leadership skills. This 12-hour, four-session course meets from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays starting Dec. 2 through Dec. 11 at the Preston Ridge Campus room J229, 9700 Wade Boulevard in Frisco.

Over the course of four sessions, students will:

  1. Conceptualize leadership development, styles, relationships, motivation and communication.
  2. Distinguish differences between leadership and management.
  3. Examine the effects of leadership style on organizational environment and productivity.
  4. Demonstrate how human relations, concepts of values, attitudes, behaviors, motivational philosophy and culture contribute to leadership effectiveness.
