Collin College’s Amy Glazier of McKinney and Chris Hockenberry of Plano were among the 40 community college students from across the nation selected to participate in the National Community College Aerospace Scholars (NCAS) program in fall 2012.

During the three-day event at Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala., Glazier and Hockenberry participated in interactive Web-based activities and an onsite team project. Students were also privileged to tour NASA facilities and interact with engineers, educators, astronauts and fellow students.

Students selected for the program are encouraged to study mathematics, science, engineering and computer science.
