PLANO (May 7, 2015) – Collin College student Shomari Harris was one of three students nominated nationally for the 2015 Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Junior/Community College Player of the Year.
Harris, a resident of Plano, is a sophomore guard for the Lady Cougars. The WBCA presents the player of the year award annually to the top player in five WBCA membership divisions (NCAA Divisions II, III, NAIA, junior/community college and high school.)
Students Krystal Pickron and Brianna Williams also received an Honorable Mention All-American recognition from the WBCA. The Lady Cougars compete in the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference in Region V of the National Junior College Athletic Association.
