Collin College will partner with the Multicultural Foodservice & Hospitality Alliance (MFHA) and Sodexo to present a Showcase of the Stars™ career expo for students from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 at the Preston Ridge Campus Event Center.

The expo will feature panelists from companies such as Sodexo, PepsiCo, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants and Chipotle Mexican Grill who will share their career success stories and answer student audience questions. As the hospitality and foodservice industry is the largest service industry in the world, students can learn about the many career opportunities that exist and gain valuable insight about career development.

“This is an excellent opportunity for Collin students to learn about what it takes to be successful in any industry, not just the foodservice and hospitality areas,” Collin College Hospitality and Culinary Chair Karen Musa said.

MFHA is a national nonprofit organization, working to bring the business benefits of cultural intelligence to the food and hospitality industries. Gerry Fernandez, MFHA founder and president said, “MFHA’s Showcase of the Stars™ has been so successful because it motivates students, displays positive multicultural role models and brings students, schools and our industry together around the common goal of career mapping. We want young people to know that our industry has great career opportunities right in their home state.”
