Collin College Continuing Education will host the second annual Writer's Workshop on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and 5 at the Courtyard Center, located at 4800 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano.
During this two-day workshop, attendees will participate in breakout sessions, hear keynote speakers and network with fellow writers. Author Patricia VanWie has been immersed in the publishing world for more than 20 years. VanWie has published 11 novels for three major publishers, including Ballantine, Bantam and Harlequin. In 2010, VanWie took a position as senior editor for Bell Bridge Books to build their mystery and suspense list. She has taught writing workshops and classes around the country.
Brian W. Smith is the owner of Hollygrove Publishing and is currently signed to Simon and Schuster. Smith is the host of the popular Internet radio show, "The Scribe Spot" and is editor-In-chief of "The Grove" literary e-magazine. He is the author of 10 novels – four have become best sellers.
