Sanjiv Yajnik, president of Capital One Financial Services, will address Collin College graduates as the 2014 commencement speaker on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. at the Allen Event Center (200 E. Stacy Road in Allen). A link to the live video stream on the college's homepage will be available at collin.edu.

At Capital One Financial Services, Yajnik is responsible for Auto Finance, one of the largest auto lenders in the nation, and Mortgage Banking, a top 30 residential mortgage business in the U.S. Prior to his role with Capital One, Yajnik served in leadership positions at PepsiCo, Circuit City and Mobil Oil. He completed the Executive Management Program from Stanford University in 2003 and received his MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1992.

Graduates at the ceremony will have earned a variety of awards, including an Associate of Arts, Associate of Arts in Teaching, Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science degrees and certificates. Honors will be awarded to students based on the following academic grade point averages:

4.0 Summa cum laude
3.75-3.99 Magna cum laude
3.5-3.74 Cum laude

Collin College was established in 1985, with 12 graduates in its first class.
