AUSTIN — The Texas Senate Thursday passed Senate Bill (SB) 929 authored by Texas State Senators Ken Paxton (R-McKinney) and Donna Campbell (R-New Braunfels). SB 929 provides home-school students an opportunity to participate in University Interscholastic League (UIL) sponsored activities.
"Currently, home-school students have no choice in participating in UIL activities," said Paxton. "This legislation provides these students an equal opportunity to participate in academic and athletic competitions alongside public-school students in their attendance area."
