SERVE McKinney Open House – Connecting Citizens with Service Opportunities

Are you ready to become more engaged in your community?  To learn more about giving back? To serve on a board, commission or just find your passion place to volunteer?

Then mark your calendar!  On Thursday, June 6, 5:30 – 7:00 pm, McKinney residents can meet representatives from area nonprofits and city boards and commissions at the annual SERVE McKinney Open House.  The event will be held in the Conference Center on the Central Park Campus of Collin College, located at 2400 Community Avenue.

This event will offer attendees the chance to learn more about each organization and their needs for volunteers.  With over 100 organizations, boards and commissions invited, there will be countless opportunities for residents to make the perfect connection.

SERVE McKinney is sponsored by the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) and President Cindy Schneible shared why they are committed to this event: “The McKinney Community Development Corporation continues to support SERVE McKinney because we recognize that citizen engagement is a cornerstone to a strong and dynamic community – one that provides an outstanding quality of life for residents and attracts businesses and tourists to fuel economic growth.”

The event is open to the public and there is no charge. It is hosted by the Leadership McKinney Alumni Network.
