McKINNEY (Jan. 8, 2015) — Three McKinney City Council seats will be up for voter consideration during the general election in May. Individuals interested in learning more about running can pick up candidate packets from the City Secretary at City Hall, 222 N. Tennessee St. The filing period begins Jan. 28, and the deadline to file for candidacy is 5 p.m. on Feb. 27.
Voters will elect representatives for one At Large seat, plus the District 2 and the District 4 seats. The general election is scheduled for May 9.
The candidate packet includes necessary forms, instructions, eligibility requirements, important dates related to the election and campaign sign rules.
