McKINNEY (Jan. 7, 2015) — The City of McKinney now offers closed captions for all City Council and Planning and Zoning Commission meetings streamed online at mckinneytexas.org. Both live and archived meetings now feature captions, accessible by selecting the box labeled “CC” underneath the viewer screen.
In addition, captions can be searched by keyword, allowing viewers to pinpoint the exact part of the meeting or multiple meetings when a certain subject was addressed. The search function will generate links leading viewers directly to that portion of each meeting when the search term was mentioned.
City Council meets for work sessions the first, third and fourth Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m. and for regular meetings the first and third Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. The Planning and Zoning Commission meets the second and fourth Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. To watch meetings live or archived, visit mckinneytexas.org and click on McKinney TV.
