The new runway at the Collin County Regional Airport at McKinney will be dedicated on Friday, Nov. 9. Federal, state and local officials will be on hand for a brief ceremony at noon to commemorate the fully completion of the multi-year project.

U.S. Representative Sam Johnson, Texas Transportation Commissioner Fred Underwood, FAA Regional Administrator Teresa Bruner, State Senator-Elect Ken Paxton, Collin County Judge Keith Self, McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller and Collin County Airport Development Corporation board members John Wroten and Andy Cowan are the scheduled speakers.

“This runway was a major part of the airport’s master planning process and represents a perfect segue to future infrastructure and business development projects. It has taken months of painstaking coordination, engineering, planning and construction, and we are proud to commemorate its completion this week,” said Airport Executive Director Ken Wiegand.
