Ever wonder how much house you could get in DFW compared to a suburb in another major city that is also seeing lots of real estate growth?

From time to time, Check Out DFW looks at a Dallas-area city and compares it to another one to show you what you can afford in the same price point.

This week we're looking at McKinney vs. Chandler, Arizona.

Obviously, both cities are very different, their climates are different and so are the home architectures. But what is similar is that both cities and metro areas are attracting people right now.

What we found in the $600,000-$700,000 was a major difference in available resales. Actually no resales were available in that price point in McKinney this week, while many were in Chandler. And McKinney offers lots of options for new construction builds compared to what Chandler has on the market.
