Texas Department of Transportation will close the right outside lane of southbound U.S. 75 at the Eldorado Parkway overpass in McKinney, beginning at 8 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, for pothole repair. The repair should be complete by 4 p.m.

An emergency patch was applied to a severe pothole after it developed last week during a combination of freezing weather, rain and heavy traffic. While this is still a temporary repair, it will be longer lasting than the emergency patch applied last Wednesday. A project to re-construct and widen U.S. 75 at this location is under way and the temporary repair is intended to hold until this section of the project is complete.

The inside lane of southbound U.S. 75 will remain open; however, motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes until the lane reopens.

TxDOT would like to thank area drivers, local businesses, the City of McKinney, and Collin County for their continued patience and safe driving as crews work diligently to complete this repair as soon, and as safely, as possible.
