Healthy fast-casual restaurant’s newest location marks 16th in Dallas area
The Dallas area now has another healthy dining destination. Salata Salad Kitchen opened its newest restaurant in McKinney on Thursday, May 9.
Located at 3540 West University Drive in the 380 Crossing at Headington Heights Shopping Center, the new Salata offers guests fully customizable, tossed-to-order salads and wraps, soups, organic teas and lemonade, breads and cookies. All fresh fruits, vegetables and lean proteins are chopped daily in-house. With five salad bases, more than 50 toppings, and 10 house-made, gluten-free dressings, guests can create meals without restrictions to meet their own definitions of healthy.
The McKinney Salata is operated by 2018 Buckner Salads LLC. This is the first location for the franchise group.
The 2,700-square-foot restaurant has seating for 74. It is managed by Eric Hall and employs 30.
The McKinney Salata marks the 16th location in the Dallas area and the 86th location for the company.
At Thursday’s grand opening, Salata hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony with the McKinney Chamber of Commerce in attendance. Guests enjoyed festivities, including a raffle for free Salata for a year. Salata donated 10 percent of Grand Opening day sales to Community Garden Kitchen of Collin County, a nonprofit that serves nutritious meals to those in need in a safe, welcoming place.
The McKinney Salata is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sundays.
