RICHARDSON – Weather permitting, a Texas Department of Transportation project to repair the pavement on U.S. 75 in Collin County will begin this weekend at U.S. 75 and the President George Bush Turnpike.
The full-depth concrete repair at this location will necessitate the closure of several ramps from the turnpike to northbound U.S. 75.
Beginning at 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 through 7 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 12, the east- and westbound exits from the Bush Turnpike to northbound U.S. 75 will be closed. One right main lane on U.S. 75 between the turnpike and Plano Parkway will also be closed.
Once again, from 8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 12 through 5 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, the same exit ramps from both directions of the turnpike to northbound U.S. 75 will be closed. One right main lane on U.S. 75 between the turnpike and Plano Parkway will also be closed.
This is the beginning of a $670,000 project to repair and repave locations on and adjacent to U.S. 75 from the Bush Turnpike to State Highway 121/Spur 399; U.S. 380 from U.S. 75 to Farm-to-Market 75 in Princeton; and FM 3038 from Hardin Boulevard to U.S. 75.
Message boards have been strategically placed on the highway to alert the public to this weekend’s closures.
TxDOT would like to thank area drivers for their patience and cooperation as crews work diligently to complete this vital project as soon, and as safely, as possible.
