McKINNEY (Jan. 20, 2016) — Thursdays in 2016 are for networking at The WERX Foundation at The Cotton Mill in McKinney. The WERX Foundation is a unique co-working business incubator space in 6,200 square feet on the second floor of McKinney’s historic Cotton Mill. The WERX includes open seating space, dedicated space, offices, conference rooms and more. Space is available for rent based on start-up company needs.

“We’re in our second year here at The Cotton Mill and have seen successful companies start out in our space,” said Christine Smith, Executive Director of The WERX. “We’re looking forward to more successes in 2016. One component of our services that we offer is our Thursday morning coffee and breakfast networking time and our McKinney Networking Meeting on Thursday evenings. Both events are open to the public and both our tenants and new visitors to The WERX benefit from the collaborative time to share ideas and make valuable contacts. You never know who you’ll meet.”

Thursday morning networking occurs from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the open desk space at The WERX. Attendance at the Thursday morning networking is free!

The McKinney Networking Meeting begins Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the open desk space at The WERX.

“The McKinney Networking Meeting is a bit more formalized networking than the come and go breakfast networking session,” said host Richard Pedretti-Allen, a WERX tenant. “We are a group of Professionals, Small Business Owners, Self-Employed and Entrepreneurs all working together to grow and learn. We are committed to helping our community thrive.”

Attendance at Thursday evening meetings is $1 per meeting or $20 per year.
