McKINNEY (May 27, 2014) – Medical Center of McKinney (MCM) broke ground on a new state-of-the-art satellite emergency room, ER at Stonebridge, a department of Medical Center of McKinney, located at the corner of Custer and Hwy 380 in McKinney.

Scheduled to open early 2015, the new 10,825 square foot provider-based facility will offer comprehensive emergency care in a location that is convenient for Celina, Prosper and McKinney residents.

“We’re excited to extend the services of Medical Center of McKinney to a new, full-service, provider-based emergency department that will provide the same comprehensive services as the ER located at the hospital,” said Ernest Lynch III, CEO of Medical Center of McKinney. “The ER at Stonebridge will provide families in Celina, Prosper and McKinney with quick and convenient care for minor and more serious injuries and illnesses.”

The new emergency department will provide the same level of care as a traditional emergency room, including critical resources, specialists and support of Medical Center of McKinney to ensure high-quality outcomes and continuity of care for patients and families. Both ambulance and walk-in patients are welcome.

The ER at Stonebridge will be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and will be staffed by board-certified emergency medicine physicians and registered nurses. Additionally the ER at Stonebridge will provide:

  • 12 private patient exam rooms including a trauma/code room, an isolation room, and two pediatric themed rooms
  • Laboratory Services
  • Imaging Services including CT, X-ray and Ultrasound
  • On-site blood bank

Medical Center of McKinney is proud to partner with the Devenney Group, a Dallas-based healthcare architectural firm, and Batten & Shaw, a construction management firm based out of Nashville, Tenn., on the design and construction of the ER at Stonebridge.
