The Rotary Club of McKinney Sunrise invites you to join your friends and neighbors in McKinney in displaying the U.S. flag on five major holidays of 2014. The Flag Lease Program is the primary fundraiser for the Rotary Club of McKinney Sunrise to provide health, humanitarian, and youth service programs throughout the community, nation and world. When you lease a flag, they will install a PVC plastic sleeve with a cap in the ground near your front curb. No brackets or fixtures are attached to your home. On each of the five holidays, a 3 foot by 5 foot U. S. flag mounted on a 10-foot metal pole is placed in the sleeve. In doing so, you accept responsibility to advise the install team on the placement location for the PVC plastic sleeve to avoid sprinklers, plumbing and electrical service hazards. It is also your responsibility to ensure that the plastic sleeve does not rise above the surface of the ground where it could become a hazard to lawn equipment.
Sign up for your flag lease by April 1 and receive the early bird discount of $40 for the holidays mentioned above for the 2014 calendar year. After April 1, the cost for a 2014 flag lease will be $45.

Instructions for Proper Flag Care
Please put the flag on your porch each night and put it out again in the morning. Do not leave the flag outside in inclement weather. If the flag should get wet, please let it dry before rolling it for storage.
Please note that your flag will need to fly on the scheduled day of pickup, rain or shine. The Rotary Club will leave the flag in place at your residence until it is dry.
