McKINNEY (Oct. 2, 2014) — Which are the favorite local businesses in the country’s No. 1 place to live? McKinney Magazine asked members of the community for their choices in the annual Best Of contest, and more than 6,000 votes determined winners in 50-plus categories.
From small family-owned businesses to large companies, the winners provide a variety of valuable products and services. The top vote-getters represent the best of McKinney, which Money magazine recently named top place to live in the U.S. When McKinney residents frequent local businesses and buy local, they are supporting McKinney’s economy. For every $100 spent with local merchants, $68 stays in the community to be recirculated and reinvested.
Look below for McKinney Magazine’s 2014 Best of list, as revealed during a celebration Thursday at Rick’s Chophouse in Historic Downtown McKinney. The annual business issue also features a Veterans Day profile of former Special Forces member and Canine Companions for Independence spokesperson Jason Morgan, who was honored at the event.
