“I have never experienced an industry where so many competing vendors have come together under a single cause to ensure a negative situation does not stop one of life’s most exciting events from happening,” said Jennifer Klassen, co-owner of Gather, an events venue located in downtown McKinney. “Wedding planners, venues, florists, DJs, photographers, bakers – EVERYONE is using a shared Facebook Page ‘Noah’s Event Venue Closure Support Group by Wedding Professionals’ to collaborate and offer services to anyone impacted.”
The wedding industry is a growing industry in McKinney and by all indications, the city will continue that growth for the foreseeable future.
“We have many exceptional wedding venues in McKinney, and I know they will be able to offer the perfect space for the lifelong memories of someone’s special day,” said Lisa Hermes, the President and CEO of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce. “We encourage those looking for a new space and/or other services to reach out to the Chamber. Our members are focused on their customers and will be more than happy to accommodate if possible.”
Besides the Chamber, Brides and Grooms alike have several options at their disposal to learn more about wedding venues and services in this area. Visit McKinney, for example, provides a number of complimentary services to brides, including site visits to venues, hotels and restaurants, assistance in securing hotel room blocks and special rates, and welcome bags for guests staying in McKinney hotels.
“The opportunity for brides to plan the perfect day of their dreams is abundant here in McKinney because of the large number of beautiful venues we have here,” said Dee-dee Guerra, Visit McKinney Executive Director, adding that McKinney’s wedding industry continues to get stronger every year. “These venues are wonderful tourism partners for us, as they take care of a growing demographic of our visitors.”
