Over the years, marketing has evolved from paper flyers and word of mouth, reaching one person at a time, to e-mail marketing and social media reaching millions of people in seconds. In order to keep up with the constant changes, business owners must continuously educate themselves on new marketing approaches.
Did you know that almost 40 percent of small business owners do not have a website? (James Guess, James Bird Guess International Success Academy) Given the fast-paced world in which we live, this seems almost impossible. Soon more people will use their smart phones to find information than laptops and personal computers.
The McKinney Chamber of Commerce will provide insights and education at the Marketing Boot Camp event on Thursday, Nov. 29. The seminar will be held at the Collin Higher Education Center from 8 a.m. until noon. Four marketing experts will provide attendees valuable information in the areas of social marketing, mobile media, e-mail marketing, branding and messaging.
Registration is $45 per person or the special price of $60 for two people.
The center is located on 3452 Spur 399 in McKinney. For more information on the event, call Nicolette Daugherty at 972-542-0163, ext 228, or e-mail her at email@example.com. Please visit mckinneychamber.com to learn more about our speakers.
