The McKinney Chamber is pleased to announce that Kathy Blank has joined the staff as the new Director. of Membership Her areas of responsibility will include new member sales and retention, as well as developing and implementing innovative opportunities to deliver value to members. She will also oversee the New Member Showcase, ribbon cuttings and the weekly LINKS networking program.
Kathy has been a resident of North Texas for 20 years and enjoys the exceptional quality of life and southern hospitality that she has experienced since moving here from New York in July 1996. She resides in Plano with her two daughters, Morgan, a sophomore studying accounting/finance at Texas Tech and Jennifer, a senior at Plano West. Her two adult sons, Patrick and Taylor are both married to wonderful daughters-in-law. Patrick is a mechanical engineer in Albany, NY and Taylor is in the Air Force in Las Vegas. She is blessed with three adorable grandchildren, Connor, Parker and Madeline. Besides spending time with family and friends, Kathy enjoys running, dining out, traveling, attending live sporting/music/performing arts events, Bible studies or just relaxing outdoors while watching a beautiful Texas sunset.

The Crepe Myrtle trails and rolling hills give McKinney the picturesque character we all enjoy," Blank stated. "Over the past two years, I’ve loved getting involved in the McKinney Chamber as a volunteer on the golf committee as well as a regular attendee to LINKS and the New Member Showcase. I look forward to supporting all our vital business members, ensuring each business and organization gets the maximum value possible with their Chamber membership.”
Kathy is well known in the North Texas business and civic community as a seasoned business professional and former nonprofit executive. She comes to the Chamber with extensive experience as both a Chamber member as well as the former Director of Membership at the Plano Chamber of Commerce. Most recently she served as the Director of Business Development for a Chamber member, Payroll Success. Kathy is known for her strong strategic partnerships and as a connector and advocate for both businesses and nonprofit organizations. Her expertise has led her to work closely with businesses of all sizes, from corporations to the vibrant small business community that are all essential to the health and vitality of our thriving North Texas business community.
Kathy graduated from Temple University with a BS in Occupational Therapy, practicing pediatric OT for 20 years. She was awarded a collegiate scholarship for field hockey and was also a Lady Owl on Temple’s women’s basketball team.
