LUBBOCK (Aug. 1, 2014) — The United Family ®, parent company of Market Street, Acosta Marketing and manufacturers are proud to again collaborate in the fight against neuromuscular disease through Muscular Dystrophy Association’s (MDA) 16th annual Aisles of Smiles campaign.
Between Aug. 1 and Sept. 2, when guests purchase products marked with special “Aisles of Smiles” tags, a portion of the proceeds will support MDA’s research to find treatments and cures for muscular dystrophy and other neuromuscular diseases. Guests are also encouraged to write their name on the scan tags to be displayed in stores.
“The United Family is always happy to offer guests the chance to help others through their everyday purchases, and Aisles of Smiles lets shoppers easily make a direct impact on families living with muscular dystrophy,” said Shelby Crews, community relations manager for The United Family. “Through last year’s Aisles of Smiles campaign, we raised more than $81,000 for MDA, and we’re eager to see our guests give to those in need again this year.”
Devoted to caring for families living with neuromuscular diseases, MDA annually funds more than 250 research projects around the world, provides comprehensive health care services and support to MDA families nationwide, and rallies community support to spread awareness.
