LUBBOCK (Aug. 4, 2014) — The United Family®, parent company of Market Street, and General Mills are once again partnering for the Box Tops for Education program, which allows guests to support local schools by purchasing groceries and back-to-school goods. General Mills will pay 10 cents for each Box Top coupon redeemed through Aug. 31, up to $20,000 per enrolled school.

To further aid schools in West Texas and the Dallas-Fort Worth area, guests who purchase six participating Box Tops for Education products at any United Supermarkets, Market Street, Albertsons Market or Amigos location between Aug. 20 and Aug. 31 will receive 25 bonus Box Tops. In addition, The United Family is offering guests who purchase 12 eligible products an additional 80 bonus Box Tops to redeem for the school of their choice.

“As schools continue to face budget cuts, it is important to help our team members and guests support local schools in our trade areas,” said Shelby Crews, community relations manager for The United Family. “Partnering with General Mills for the Box Tops for Education program provides guests an easy, convenient way to help our children have the tools they need to succeed.”

Since its inception in 1996, Box Tops for Education has donated more than $600 million to schools throughout the U.S. For more information regarding The United Family’s participation in Box Tops for Education, visit unitedtexas.com.
