As part of the ongoing Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) project to widen U.S. 75 in McKinney, the blue mail collection boxes at the Main Post Office in McKinney have been relocated to the north side of the Post Office on Bois D' Arc Street.
Signs are posted in the front parking lot directing customers to the new drop location. Collection times remain the same: 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, and 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Post Office asks all customers to be alert and cautious of the new driving patterns.
Collection box location and times remain unchanged for customers using the Postal Service's retail site, located west of U.S 75 at 7210 Virginia Parkway, Suite 100.
U.S. 75 Project Details
TxDOT's ongoing $106 million project will add two lanes in each direction on the U.S. 75 main lanes and one in each direction on the frontage roads. This will give the highway a total of eight main lanes and six frontage road lanes between Spur 399 (SH 121) and U.S. 380, adding needed capacity to U.S. 75. The project is expected to be substantially complete in the summer of 2015.
