Thanks to the generosity of North Texas families and businesses through LegacyTexas Bank’s annual Lone Star Salute care package drive, 650 boxes were recently shipped to United States military personnel stationed around the globe. Bank branches served as drop off locations for donations, and employees, with the help of local Scouts and the North Texas Chapter of Blue Star Mothers, assembled and shipped packages filled with toiletries, notes, magazines, snacks, boxes of Girl Scout cookies and other comforts of home.

LegacyTexas Bank Lone Star Salute

According to LegacyTexas Bank President Phil Dyer, this was the bank’s most successful drive yet. “The community has been very supportive of Lone Star Salute for several years now, but this year was extraordinary,” Dyer said. “The outpouring of gifts and messages for men and women serving our country was overwhelming, and the heartfelt letters of thanks we have received from our troops make it very clear how much these packages are appreciated.”
