For the second straight year, McKinney-based Independent Bank Group earned a spot among the Dallas Morning News’ “Top 100 Places to Work in Dallas-Fort Worth.” The 2012 edition placed Independent Bank among the top midsized companies in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Rankings for the Dallas Morning News’ Top 100 Places to Work list are determined by the results of an anonymous internal survey conducted at Dallas-Fort Worth area companies by an independent survey company. Recognition on the Top 100 Places to Work list is earned through the opinion of employees and not an outside voting body, which makes the honor extra special to David Brooks, Chairman/CEO of Independent Bank.

“It is always an honor when someone takes notice of the work we do at Independent Bank,” Brooks said. “But when recognition comes from within the Independent Bank family, whether from a loyal customer or one of our many dedicated employees, it is truly significant.”

The results of the Top 100 survey indicate that Independent Bank employees are happy with the direction of the bank, have confidence in its leadership, and appreciate its strong corporate and ethical values.

“At its core, Independent Bank’s strength lies in our employees and the relationships they form with customers,” Brooks said. “To foster these relationships, creating an environment where employees feel appreciated on a daily basis is essential. I am delighted to learn that our employees feel the same way about the organization as we do about them because it creates the family-like atmosphere we desire for everyone associated with the bank.”

Independent Bank’s core values remain steady as it continues to grow and confidently lend in key markets. The bank has $1.6 billion in combined assets and over 330 employees at 31 banking locations and two full-service mortgage offices throughout North and Central Texas. Furthermore, Independent Bank completed two acquisitions in the past year and received recent recognition as a member of Dallas 100 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in North Texas by the Dallas Business Journal and the SMU’s Caruth Institute.

“We are proud of the success we’ve achieved and the jobs we’ve created in the communities we serve,” Brooks said. “As we continue to grow, we will continue to listen to feedback from our employees who selflessly serve as an extension of their communities every day.”
