Emerson Process Management’s Regulator Technologies business will break ground Tuesday on a new 132,000-square-foot global headquarters building on a 10-acre site at The Gateway Development (at the interchange of U.S. 75 and the Sam Rayburn Tollway).

Emerson Process Management delivers automation and process control technologies and services to the oil and gas, power, chemical, refining and other industries.

Its Regulator Technologies business offers more pressure regulator and relief valve solutions than any other manufacturer in the world. McKinney and the North Dallas area are home to key oil and gas equipment suppliers that Emerson serves.

City leaders will join Emerson Process Management administrators for the event, which will celebrate a corporate anchor of the The Gateway Development.

As a corporate anchor in one of the most visible development sites in McKinney, Emerson will build a three-story, 132,000-square-foot headquarters and research and development facility. Emerson is currently located in a building in northeast McKinney.

“The Emerson facility at Gateway will be a fantastic cornerstone to the 90-acre development that will include completion of the hotel and events center and other mixed-use opportunities," Mayor Brian Loughmiller said in a news release issued when the Emerson building project was initially announced at The Gateway Development.

"The McKinney City Council looks forward to our continued relationship with Emerson and continued progress on development of the entry gateway to our city.”
