When Jeremy Pryor (Minshew ES) and Allen Parr (Boyd HS) were chosen as the McKinney ISD Elementary Teacher of the Year and the McKinney ISD Secondary Teacher of the Year, it was a tremendous accomplishment and honor for each of them.

They have been honored once again, this time by El Dorado Motors in McKinney. The dealership is generously donating the use of a vehicle of the teachers' choice for one year, free of charge! Pryor chose a 2015 Chevy Tahoe, and Parr selected a 2015 Mazda CX 5.

Pryor said: “I’m just really excited to be honored again as Teacher of the Year. A privilege and gift like this is really pretty powerful, pretty meaningful, and I love to see the community reaching out and being a part of the school system, too.”

Parr said: “I’m super excited and just honored and privileged to be considered Teacher of the Year for secondary schools in McKinney ISD, and I’m thankful to El Dorado Mazda and Chevy for giving us the opportunity to lease a car for a year. I’m certainly surprised, but pleasantly surprised and excited. So, I’m definitely very thankful for the opportunity.”

Jas Gill, General Sales Manager for El Dorado Motors said, “We’ve always been very involved in McKinney ISD trying to sponsor different things in the community. We also do a Teacher of the Month in association with the local radio station. We’ve done that for many years. Along with that, we wanted to take it a step further and recognize the Teacher of the Year. Giving them a car to drive for a year seemed like the reasonable thing to do. It’s part of the path that we’ve been following in promoting our local schools.”
