Each year, the McKinney Community Development Corporation (MCDC) accepts applications for funding to support quality of life projects that will benefit the City of McKinney and are eligible for funding in accordance with the Texas Local Government Code.

Applications for grants for this year will be accepted now through Thursday, Jan. 31.

In 1996, McKinney voters approved the creation of a Type B sales tax corporation to support community and economic development projects and initiatives to make McKinney an even better place for its residents to live and enjoy life. Since its creation, MCDC has invested revenues generated from a half-cent sales tax in projects that enhance McKinney’s aesthetic, cultural and leisure amenities and support business development.
